DR. ALEXANDRA MOLINARES
Biography
Dr. Alexandra M. Molinares was born in Barranquilla, Colombia. She graduated with an Academic Excellence Award from Medical School in 2002 from Universidad del Norte, being recognized as a distinguished student. She accomplished six months of her internship in Colombia, and six months in the United States.
PAST WORK
She has worked as a medical assistant and researcher lab assistant in USF working with stem cell transplantation for possible cure of patients with San Filippo Syndrome.
Thereafter, she completed her Family Medicine Residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC. Dr. Molinares is a qualified Board Certified Physician specializing in Family Medicine. She is a member of the AAFP, AMA, SCHMR and USCMA. She also has been involved in multiple scholarly activities including participating as a presenter in National Medical Conferences such as NMA and STFM. Thereafter, Dr. Molinares has continued her passion for improving patient care quality by utilizing her extensive background in health care. Dr. Molinares enjoys practicing Family Medicine to help her patients in the best way she can provide patient care. She believes practicing medicine is a privilege. She takes her work very seriously and strives to be thorough in caring for each and every patient. She practices integrative medicine and currently she is providing telemedicine consultations via Uberdoc. Ever since the pandemia started last year, she realized that the telemedicine platform was a great way to reach out to the patients and allow a close contact with them, keeping safety at best and allowing a great care for the patients from the comfort of their homes.

With great love and gratitude, I am excited to announce that I a, now available via virtual consultations, providing an easy, and convenient access to healthcare, without leaving your home. From common cold, urinary tract infections, high cholesterol, thyroid diseases, diabetes and hypertension management, hormonal balance, and many more, I can help you out with your care. As far of pain management, I won’t be prescribing narcotic medications, but I am able to provide a referral to local physicians that specialize in that area. For controlled medications, including medications for ADHD, anxiety, insomnia, they will be dispensed in a controlled manner and by discretion of my evaluation. No refills will be provided. In most cases, a referral for mental health, or psychiatric referral will be given to provide a better management of them. Psychological counseling will be advised depending on the condition.
